Very Good

Location was fantastic, and the budget was great for one person. The cafe downstairs was super convenient and there was plenty of space if you would like to work remotely. The staff WERE INCREDIBLY FRIENDLY!! They were super kind and went above and beyond in making sure I was being taken care of, their recommendations were fantastic and they insisted I take one of their umbrellas when it was raining. Felt very safe as a solo female traveller.

The plug sockets were on the other side of the room, would've been more convenient to have it next to the bed.

Staff worker from Uzbekistan was so friendly and helpful! Location was excellent.

Noise on ground floor was very loud especially when guests arrived and checked in late at night. Suggest having signage and strict noise curfew times to minimise disturbances for other guests. Quality of hair-dryer could be improved too.

Over all, it was pleasant stay, great staff, great location

I was coming back for 1 night, this time, they gave me a better room (in better, brand newer condition). So managed to enjoy it better. So I just had to collect my suitcase back from them. Great location, just a few minutes away from the subway. Convenient stores close by. Very convenient to move around the Myeondong area. From the street, outside the hotel, we can see the Namsan Tower clearly as it's very close by. At the hotel, lovely staff, caring and very helpful. What I ordered from the bar was always great and well-prepared. They will help you with your suitcases the best they can

When I had to use the heater, a lot of dirt/dust fell on the bed as if it hadn't been cleaned or used in ages. I believe the wall was paper thin, very easy to hear noisy people outside your door, but could even tell which language the people next door were speaking when they were talking loudly at 3am.

Great staff and nice bar. Great location, but the room given to me...

Great location, just a few minutes away from the subway. Convenient stores close by. Very convenient to move around the Myeondong area. From the street, outside the hotel, we can see the Namsan Tower clearly as it's very close by. At the hotel, lovely staff, caring and very helpful. What I ordered from the bar was always great and well-prepared. They will help you with your suitcases the best they can. The bed was quite comfortable. When I checked out, as I was due to come back after 1 day, I organised with them to leave my suitcases there t have them back on my return. The staff was also so welcoming and also gave me a hand warmers time to time

The bar section along with the front door will be closed past 11pm (but there is a back door open all night I believe). The lift is not for all the floors. Despite having asked before coming if there was a lift because I had a heavy suitcase, I ended up being allocated to a floor where the lift didn't go. Luckily the issue was resolved but it nearly became an issue at the time (changing for another room and changing room every day... thank god, in the end, the receptionist could find someone to help with the suitcase). Unfortunately, I thought the room condition was not great (specifically for the price) even though I had everything described there. The room had a strong smell of humidity and the wallpaper was affected too. The walls were also stained/dirty and damaged by humidity, the fan extractor falling apart, a missing bulb and the shower head was a bit falling apart too. After all the trouble to get my suitcases up there at this time of the night and after the big trip I got, I just gave up trying to ask for another room at that time (not knowing what I would get instead, not sure somebody would be able to help to move and I was tired etc). The next day, I just asked for a new bulb (which didn't last more than a day) and just didn't want to lose more time. I must say, that the carpet outside the room and on the stairs was in terrible condition and stained: it hasn't been cleaned in a while. Despite that, the room was clean with clean linen and fresh towels every day. For my other stay with this hotel, a better room on a better floor was given to me, I will leave a separate review for it as it may be better.

Very Good

The Hotel is close to a train station and it is short walk to Myeongdong shopping street. Great value for a place near Myeongdong.

We booked 2 rooms for 1 night. The toilet door in 1 of the rooms was not able to fully close. The hotel was fully booked that day and we are not able to change room. Luckily my kids are still young and do not mind this embarrassing situation.

What was the highlight of Hotel MIDO Myeongdong

A convenient stay in the shopping hub of Seoul.

The hotel was in a perfect location, right by a subway station and a few meters away from Myeongdong and several department stores and cafes. The room was cleaned by housekeeping each day and there was enough space for one person. The heating, aircon, and TV all worked well and overall it was a comfortable stay. Your stay at the hotel is very private and the staff are really informative and helpful.

The cleanliness in the room could be improved. A strange smell was coming from the drain in the bathroom, and the bathroom ceiling was covered with dirty spots. The shower head and rod had water spots and several surfaces in the room were covered in a light layer of dust. Overall the room was mostly clean, however, more detailed attention could be given to the less obvious or visible surfaces. The only other issue was the mattress as it was comfortable, but also slightly too thin.

If you don’t care about how much clean, it’s best to stay there because it’s close and cheap !

The staff are very nice and friendly. The location is very close to hotel to nearest station. Also Myeong-dong station is also very near !

The room was not clean… The chair was very dirty so we didn’t sit … Toilet and shower was very close … at least they should put curtain I think.

expected better from the pictures

the room and staff were good. the room was ready even before checkin time. the stay was fine.

compared to my other stays, this was the only hotel who doesn’t offer breakfast yet. the room was very very small, could barely fit the luggages. similar to another hotel, we slept with the window open in winter, due to the hot room temperature, difficult to adjust it.

Loved it and definitely will stay again

The location of this hotel is super good. Just 1km from Seoul station, 15min walk to Myeongdong shopping district and a 5 min walk to Hoehyeon station (line 4) which is very convenient. The neighbourhood had a few restaurants nearby which serves great food as well! Would definitely recommend to eat at 그냥밥집 or 코너스토어. Don't forget to try the coffee at the hotel! It's really good coffee.

Housekeeping could have been a little better. But other than that everything was very good.

Convenient location but small room and not wheelchair or luggage friendly.

Location was very convenient as it was right next to Hoehyeon station and just a 10 min walk from Myeongdong. The staff spoke perfect English and were very helpful.

The room was pretty small. The shower didn't have a shower screen so the whole bathroom would get wet after a shower. The cleaning staff were pretty inconsistent with the daily cleaning - sometimes our room was made up and sometimes it wasn't. The hotel itself isn't very disability friendly as the front door and back door had big steps in front making it hard to wheel any luggages or wheelchairs in or out. The hotel also has a flight of stairs to reach the elevator which to me doesn't make any sense as we had to carry our 30kg luggage up the stairs first before reaching the elevator to take us to our rooms.

great location in a picturesque alley , near buses and metro and shopping center. walking distance to Namsan cable car. great coffee shop in the lobby where locals come too! we had a bath in our room, great stay !
